1. cup, 2. cup of structuralism, 3. cup of a saucer

Objects that are married to each other swap places, so that the meaning is inverted. We don’t know if the object is a cup consisting of a saucer, or a saucer in the form of a cup. Meanings are shifting in between the notion of a cup and saucer, thus playing with the definition of what we are accustomed to call sign in language theory.
