There is a particular reason for choosing cup as the ultimate form of expression. Flirting with the expression “cup of knowledge” I came to the very interesting point related to the embodiment theory of language. As this theory derives it’s standing point to language and our general concepts through bodily experiences, it is in the correspondence to our process of literarily taking an idea, metaphorically meaning “drinking” the idea directly from the cup container.
